Wrigley Field, Chicago
The jewel of the National League, Chicago's Wrigley Field (1914-present) is the last remaining Federal League ballpark. Wrigley Field is, for many people the ultimate baseball location. Its ivy-covered brick outfield walls and hand-operated scoreboard are as famous as its unpredictable weather, as the winds off Lake Michigan can make or break a pitcher's day, depending on their strength and direction. A model of 'jewel box' ballpark design, Wrigley tucks a little extra distance into the left and right field corners, though not enough to detract from its reputation as a hitter's ballpark, one of the most offensively-oriented parks in baseball.
